IT Asset Management Technician
This is a hybrid role requiring several days in the office located in Saint Paul, MN. Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized IS Asset Management and Endpoint Support Technician to join our team. This critical role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of company assets, including tracking, storing, distributing, and documenting inventory, equipment, and supplies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to maintaining precise records to optimize operational efficiency. The selected candidate will also be responsible for provisioning and installing software on hardware that needs to be shipped. Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve a range of hardware, software, and network issues for personal computers and endpoint devices, both remotely and on-site.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS, and some Linux) and peripheral devices.
Asset Management & Inventory Control:
Receive, store, and distribute IT equipment, tools, and supplies securely and efficiently.
Maintain and update accurate inventory records in asset management systems.
Conduct routine inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with stock levels.
Process and fulfill internal equipment requests, ensuring timely delivery.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for procurement, returns, and equipment disposal in accordance with company policies.
Generate and update reports on inventory status, asset utilization, and stock levels.
Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy against purchase orders.
Organize warehouse space for optimal accessibility and efficiency.
Collaboration & Compliance:
Work closely with internal teams to address asset-related inquiries and operational needs.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies for asset handling and disposal.
Adhere to best practices for inventory management.
Qualifications:
Required:
Education & Training: High school diploma with technical training in PC support.
Technical Expertise: Level 2 technical skills, proficient in Windows, macOS, Linux, and associated peripheral devices.
Software Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Inventory & Asset Management: Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related role. Familiarity with asset management systems such as SPA, Oracle, Neurons, or similar platforms.
Attention to Detail: Strong record-keeping and auditing skills with a proactive, organized approach.
Problem-Solving & Communication: Ability to work independently and collaboratively with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items as needed.
Preferred:
Certification in inventory management and asset handling.
Proficiency with barcode scanners and RFID tracking systems.
Ability to work in both independent and team settings.
